Extensionn to house at Monkstown, Dublin. 2009 - 2011.
Our brief was to design a two-bed apartment in the basement of a protected structure. A conservation record of the existing house and basement was carried out to accompany the planning application.
A number of sketch options were prepared to show the various options which were available. Existing period features were reused where appropriate. Living accommodation was moved from the front of the structure to the rear of the building to make the most of the natural light.
