Internal insulation in historic buildings.
We advise extreme care when specifying dry-lining systems, for a recent protected structure
retro-fit, where the walls had previously been drylined with a composite board we modelled the
proposed drylining system using specialist software to avoid interstitial condensation and
deterioration of the fabric and we used a specialist system which incorporates an intelligent
membrane which also acts as an air-tightness membrane.
