This energy efficient, naturally ventilated, modular plan 62 bedroom nursing home was recently completed on site. We initially carried out an environmental study of the site, including assessment of mature planting, proposed orientation, and local micro-climate which informed the design response, we optimised solar gain and used passive and active sustainable building technologies within the project.  The nursing home operator stated that Cooney Architects delivered a 'person centered healthcare building, which is full of natural light', and that they 'would have no hesitation in recommending Cooney Architects highly for their ability to identify our detailed needs and delivering a building, which exceeds these.'
