Cooney Architects specialise in energy efficient retro-fitting of existing buildings and energy efficient green new buildings.  In 1991 Frank Cooney was the project architect for the prototype energy efficient EU sponsored Green Building in Temple Bar, Dublin.  More recently we have completed a retro-fit of an 19th century farmhouse and outbuildings which is featured on the front cover of Sustainable Energy Ireland Guidelines for Retro-fitting old buildings.  We have also recently won the International Green Apple Award for sustainable design.
