After receiving an Arts Degree from University College Dublin, Catherine went on to achieve a Post Graduate Diploma in Architectural Inventory Recording from Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street, and has just received a degree in Interior Architecture, which she studied for in conjunction with work. From 2002 to 2006 she surveyed architectural heritage for the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage.

Catherine has many years of administration experience and joined Cooney Architects as office administrator at the beginning of 2006. In addition to administration and marketing aspects of Cooney Architects, Catherine also carries out all historical reports and research in regards to conservation projects.
