Restoration of Bailieborough Courthouse, Co. Cavan

This pivotal corner property forms one side of the Market Square in Bailieborough. It is being developed to provide restaurants, a bar and apartments.

• Extension oriented to provide for the optimum natural light, solar gains and cross ventilation.
• Established a deep understanding of the building so that any proposed works would involve minimal interventions to the existing structure.
• Carried out detailed drawn survey of the existing building was prepared and an indepth building record including all doors, windows, fireplaces, furniture etc. was carried out.
• Prepared 10 sketch layout options and analysied each option in terms of advantages and disadvantages.
