B. Arch, M. Arch. RIAI Part II
Lucy Yang graduated from University College Dublin in 2016.
She attended some competitions, for example, she won the Nai zhen prize in Taiwan IDEERS earthquake competition in the summer of 2012.
She is specifically interested in the complex cultural and social contexts that inform architectural propositions, and in the possibilities of drawing as a tool to create new relationships between space, form and function.
Her final design was exhibited as a representative of XLArch in The Venice Biennale 2014. In 2016, She joined The Metamorphosis project which is a practice-led research project engaging artists from visual art, film, architecture and music composition – in collaboration with academic researchers, industry members and the public – in a multimedia exhibition and international symposium during the week of February 1-6 2016. This project aims to promote collaboration between these communities in Ireland by highlighting the positive and influential impact of interdisciplinary exchange, and scope for greater public engagement with research, arts practice and industrial sectors in Ireland.
Lucy joined Cooney Architects in 2016 and has worked on a variety of commercial and residential projects.
